Today, June 15, 2010, nintendo just revealed something that will make video game history: the new legend of Zelda game exclusively for Wii.
There to present the game was Shigeru Miyamoto himself, coming from Japan to show how great and how different Nintendo is. Now, he shows us what sets nintendo away from itself.
The game's mechanic's are revolutionary. Taking a step up from Twilight Princess, which released in 2006, the game uses the nunchuk and Wii remote to use the shield and sword, respectively. The feel is more natural. Using the Wii motion +plus, any movement made results in the same movement for Link. The game is meant to be revolutionary, and it appears to be.
The items options have changed. Looking to make a more naturally approach to the series, the B-button will be used to move Link's hand downward to his pocket and pick out an item from the item select. With the now silky smooth movements, Link can aim smoothly, roll bombs, pilot a new wooden flying helicopter toy, called the beatle, and pilot te bombuchu's with ease.
The beatle caused quite an uproar at the conference, as nothing like it has ever been seen before. It uses the same 3d engine as Tails Miles Prower and follows a game flight similar to any recent flight games. Nintendo also showed a whip, which allows Link to have actions with an Indiana Jones esque.
The games environments has the same destructible engine as modern warfare, which allows Link to destroy almost any element within the game. The veiw is breathtaking, and an almost endless map has Link go to where he has never gone before.
